“Printer’s error.” The law on increasing taxes will come into force on December 1 – Hetmantsev

“The Resource Law will enter into force on December 1, 2024. It will be published accordingly on November 30. Common sense won. We’ll consider it a typist’s error.””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

The law, which provides for an increase in taxes, including the military levy, will enter into force on December 1, and not on November 29, as announced the day before, said the head of the specialized committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev.

“A sleepless night is the result – the resource law will enter into force on December 1, 2024. It will be published accordingly on November 30. Common sense won. We will consider it a typist’s error,” he wrote in a telegram on the morning of November 29.

The night before, Hetmantsev reported that the aforementioned law would enter into force on November 29, because it had already been published in the newspaper “Voice of Ukraine”.

On November 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the law on raising taxes 44 days after its adoption by the parliament.

The law, among other things, provides for an increase in the military levy from 1.5 to 5% (except for military personnel). This fee will now also be paid by FOPs.

In addition, the document introduces a 50% tax on banks, 25% PP for financial companies and the transition to monthly income tax reporting (PTFO).

In October, the deputies voted for the draft law on increasing taxes. Subsequently, the parliament rejected all resolutions that blocked its signing. On October 15, the law was sent to the president for signature.
