Hurricane John hit Mexico this week. The state of Guerrero was the hardest hit, with more than 95 mm of rain.

Acapulco is located in the state of Guerrero, which annually hosts the ATP 500 tournament. The tennis complex, where the tournament is held, was flooded due to the hurricane.

Note that the tennis complex in Acapulco suffers from hurricanes for the second time in less than a year. In October 2023, Hurricane Otis damaged the complex.
