Norway has agreed to assume part of the responsibility for the protection of the main transit node of foreign military aid to Ukraine passing through Poland. This is reported by Bloomberg UNN.

Details

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Norway will help protect this important facility within the framework of NATO member countries’ cooperation. It is about the Rzeszow-Jasenko airport, which provides delivery of up to 90% of western cargo for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The decision comes amid growing risks of foreign interference, which prompted Poland to tighten security measures in the region earlier this year. Rzeszów, located less than 100 km from the Ukrainian border, has become a critically important point of logistical support for Ukraine. Its robust protection is key to maintaining the stability of military aid supplies

We will remind

Earlier UNN reported that Poland provided Ukraine with military aid worth 3.23 billion euros, including more than 350 tanks and other equipment. The country allocated 4.91% of its GDP to support Ukraine and refugees, which is the largest figure among donors.
