More than 180 combat clashes took place at the front – General Staff of the Armed Forces

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 181 combat clashes. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction, and Russian troops are also active in the Kurakhiv direction, according to the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 26.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of this era, 39 battles have been fought in the areas of Zelene Pole, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Krutiy Yar, Novogrodivka, Selidove, Marynivka and Krasniy Yar settlements. Defense forces repelled 34 offensive operations, five are still ongoing. Today, 278 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, 116 of them – irreversibly,” the headquarters say.

According to the information of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the direction of Kurakhiv, the Russian army stormed 34 times in the vicinity of Tsukuriny, Zhelany Drugo, Georgiivka, Mykolaivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka, and Katerynivka. The Ukrainian military stopped 27 attacks, seven are still ongoing.

“In the Kupian direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Stelmakhivka, and Kolisnikivka. 19 battles have been completed, one is still ongoing. In the Lyman direction, the Russian invaders stormed the positions of our troops near Grekivka, Nevsky, Novosadovo and Torsky. At this time, all 15 combat clashes have been completed,” the post stated.

In total, Russian troops advanced in 11 directions.

The General Staff noted that five attempts were made in the Vremivsk direction to dislodge units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the occupied defense lines near Vodyanyi, Katerynivka, and Bogoyavlenka. There are no reports of battles near Ugledar.

On September 26, the co-founder of Deep State, Ruslan Mykula, an analyst on Radio Svoboda (Svoboda.Ranok project), reported that the loss of the city of Vugledar, where the Ukrainian military held off the advance of the Russian Federation for more than two years, is a matter of days, maybe weeks.

The co-founder of Deep State calls the threat of encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Ugledar high, but there is still no command to leave the city. Military journalist Yuriy Butusov says that the decision to withdraw from Vugledar can be made directly by commanders when it becomes clear that it is no longer possible to conduct a defense.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not report on the semi-surrounding of the 72nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Vugledar. Commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 72nd OMBr Andriy Nazarenko said on September 24 that the brigade is still holding positions in Vugledar.
