“Johannes Klebo spoke for the first time about his father’s illness”, — write: sport.ua
Johannes admitted that at the age of ten he learned about his father’s illness, who was diagnosed with a severe form of blood cancer.
While his father was in the hospital, little Johannes was taken care of by his grandparents.
It was grandfather Kore Gjosflot who helped the boy to become a professional athlete, accompanying Johannes in training.
“It was a brutal experience. I was nine or ten when he got that diagnosis, and it’s very hard to accept at that age.
During the period when my dad was in the hospital for a long time, my grandfather took care of me together with my grandmother. We became very close, and it became natural that he was the one who drove me to training and back.
I think it shows well why our family is so close. When you find yourself in similar situations, you become much closer to your relatives. And this, in my opinion, is completely natural,” Klebo said.
