Promoter Eddie Hearn did not rule out that Anthony Joshua can return to the ring this year, but it will definitely not be a big fight, but just a warm-up.
“We will make a final decision this week whether Joshua will return to the ring this year. And you will learn the news only in the week of the fight, that makes sense. And there won’t be any money here for Anthony.”
“He will just unexpectedly appear on one of the shows. I want him to calmly enter the ring and crush the opponent,” Hearn said.
Joshua didn’t fight for more than a year, losing to Daniel Dubois in 2024.
