Voloshyn added that the occupiers have increased the number of kamikaze drones and artillery fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, where the Defense Forces left several units to withdraw to more advantageous positions, according to the spokesman, the enemy is trying to establish their groups and gain a foothold, but the Ukrainian forces do not allow them to do so.
Voloshyn reported that the defenders had destroyed about 300 occupiers over the past day: “That is, the fighting continues quite fiercely.”
He added that measures are currently being taken to block the enemy’s advance, as well as search-and-strike operations to prevent the enemy from infiltrating deep into the Ukrainian defenses.
Commenting on the situation near Gulyaipol, Voloshyn noted that the enemy there really tried to get to Yablukovo, but the defense forces stopped him and are now blocking further progress.
