In Russia, a member of Istanbul talks with Ukraine headed the Writers’ Union

President Putin’s assistant said that most writers in Russia “do not even receive a living wage.” “We see marginalization of writers’ status,” he said, inviting the bloggers to the Union.

Medinsky, who was born in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine, was known as a political PR. He wrote several patriotic bestsellers about Russian history, is the author of a school textbook on Russian history, was elected to the State Duma.
