In Germany at the fair, 19 people were injured through fireworks, including a child

In the German city of Dusseldorf during the Rheinkirmes festive fair, an incident with fireworks occurred, resulting in at least 19 people, four of them were in serious condition. Among the wounded is a child.

Details: Emergency services confirmed information about the wounded on Friday night after reporting, fireworks exploded unusually close to the ground.

Eyewitnesses said some fireworks were flying away or exploding at low altitude, and several even fell into the Rhine.

The organizers initially decided not to interrupt the fair so as not to cause panic, but eventually closed the holiday around 22:45. The event was to last until early morning.

The Rheinkirmes fair is arranged on the occasion of the annual holiday in honor of the patron saint of Apollinaria. It began on July 11 and had to end on Sunday.
