CNN writes about this, referring to the report of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission of Ukraine.

It is noted that the most important components used in North Korea’s missiles are produced by nine Western manufacturers, including companies from the United States, the Netherlands and Great Britain. At the same time, some parts of the missiles were produced already in 2023, which indicates the speed of deliveries to North Korea.

CNN correspondents also visited one of the warehouses where Ukrainian investigators are studying the remains of weapons used by Russia in airstrikes.

“Everything that works to guide the rocket to make it fly is all foreign components. All the electronics are foreign. There is nothing Korean about it. The only Korean thing is the metal that rusts and corrodes quickly,” he said. Andrii Kulchytskyi, head of the military research laboratory of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Science.

As one of the intelligence officials told CNN, the investigation is complicated by damage to the missile fragments, but it can still be determined that “the vast majority of the components are Western components.

“Probably 70% are American, from well-known companies […] They also use components produced in Germany and Switzerland,” he said.

According to weapons tracking experts, there is no reliable information on exactly how the components end up in North Korea. But all signs point to China as a likely middleman.

Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the representative of the President of Ukraine on sanctions policy, said that none of the manufacturers has been held accountable for these deliveries.

“We think that if any of these … manufacturers are held accountable for the amount of microelectronics found in, say, Russian missiles that fell on Ukraine, (they) will really start doing more about it,” he said.

Russia’s missile threatEarlier it was reported that Russia was able to accumulate more than 1,500 missiles with a range of 350 kilometers and above with the help of increasing production and a pause in shelling. In particular, “Iskander-M” (ballistic) – 350, “Iskander-K” (winged) – 210, X-101 – 220, “Calibers” – 390, “Daggers” – 70, X-22 – 230, KN- 23 (DPRK) – 45.

It will be recalled that on November 21, Russia hit the Dnieper with an intercontinental ballistic missile. The occupiers claim that they used the Oreshnyk medium-range missile.

Earlier, ISW analysts predicted that Russia might repeat its launch in the coming days.
