Soon, local residents began to report loud explosions. In particular, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel clarified that the explosions occurred in the area of the Southern Bay, where the facilities of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation are located, as well as near the Belbek military airfield.
Razvozhaev explained these sounds as the work of Russian air defense, stating that seven air targets were allegedly shot down over the water area.
In addition to Sevastopol, reports of explosions also came from other parts of the peninsula. According to the subscribers of the “Krymskiy Veter” channel, explosions also thundered in the Kirovsky district, which is not far from the Russian military airfield.
It is worth noting that the day before, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 14th separate SBS regiment reported on the destruction of objects at this airfield the previous night.
The Russian authorities and the military have not commented on either the previous or the current incidents in the Kirovsky district.
