US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he is nominating former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi for US Attorney General. This happened after Matt Geitz resigned from the position.

For reference: Pam Bondi has a law degree from Stetson College of Law. Began her career as an assistant prosecutor in Hillsborough County.

In 2020, Bondi was one of Donald Trump’s defense attorneys during his first impeachment trial.
