Carlos MOYA: “Farewell did not justify Nadal’s greatness”

Carlos Moyacoach Rafael Nadal since 2017, talked about his feelings after the end of the career of an outstanding athlete. Nadal completed the journey after the defeat of the Spanish national team against the Netherlands in the Davis Cup.

“This moment was expected, but it came sooner than we thought. The farewell did not reflect what Nadal means to the sport. Rafa is much higher than that,” Moya said in an interview with Onda Cero.

He also noted that working with Nadal was a unique experience. “The story we created together with Rafa is unique. Our emotional connection cannot be recreated with another athlete,” the coach added.
