US President Joe Biden announced his intention to review the state of combat readiness of the US military in the Middle East.
According to information, Biden instructed the Pentagon to assess the current military presence in the region and, if necessary, to make changes in order to strengthen deterrence and ensure the strategic interests of the United States.
The president also instructed American embassies in the region to take additional security measures. Earlier, the Biden administration reported that it had not received advance information about the Israeli attacks on Beirut.
