The investigation found that the head of the Poltava GOK, one of the world’s largest mining and processing facilities, organized a scheme for deliberate lowering prices for iron ore products during export to related non-resident companies in Europe and the Middle East. For this purpose, according to the investigation, he allegedly introduced false information to the official documents of the enterprise.
The investigation believes that such actions have led to the state budget of more than UAH 1.7 billion income tax.
The head of the Poltava Ministry of Education and Science was informed of suspicion of articles about tax evasion in particularly large amounts and issuing deliberately false official documents by prior conspiracy.
Victor Lotus is the head of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant.
The Poltava GOK carries out the production, processing and export of iron ore and is a payer of rent for the use of iron ore deposits. It is part of a group of companies Ferrexpo, the ultimate beneficial owner of which is Constantine Zhevago.
