As a result of an ammunition hit in a shop in Donetsk region, a woman and a man died – OVA

A woman and a man were killed as a result of Russian ammunition hitting a shop in the village of Yasenove, Pokrovsky district, the head of Donetsk OVA Vadym Filashkin said.

“On September 28, 2024, at 10:20, the enemy shelled the village of Yasenov of Pokrovsky district. Civil infrastructure and residential buildings were at the epicenter of the damage. The ammunition hit the store, as a result of which the 28-year-old shopkeeper and her husband died from non-life-threatening injuries,” said a local official.

In addition, according to Filashkin, a 41-year-old citizen was also injured by shrapnel.

“He was taken to the hospital. The final number of victims and the type of weapons are being established,” the head of the OVA said.

Filashkin added that “as a result of shelling, 4 private houses, a shop and 5 cars were damaged.”

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
