Almost 50 skirmishes took place in the Pokrovsky direction – the assembly of the General Staff of the Armed Forces

Since the beginning of the day, 170 combat clashes have taken place. Today, the situation remained the hottest in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv directions, and Russian troops are also active in the Kupyan, Lyman and Vremiiv directions, according to the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 27.

“The enemy tried 47 times to penetrate our defense in the Pokrovsky direction. Since the beginning of the day, the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvizhenka, Novotoretsky, Mykolaivka, Grodivka, Novogrodivka, Lysivka, Krutoy Yar, Dachinsky, Marynivka, Selidovoy, and Novotoretsky have been repulsed by our defenders. According to preliminary information, today our soldiers neutralized more than 350 occupiers in this direction, 175 of them – irreversibly,” the Armed Forces say.

In the Kurakhiv direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian military positions 26 times in the area of ​​Tsukuryny, Georgiyivka, Kostyantynivka, and Katerynivka. Also, in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops tried 16 times near Sinkivka, Novoselivka, Hlushkivka, Kruglyakivka, Kucherivka, and Lozova.

“In the Vremivsk direction, our troops repelled 11 enemy attacks near Vugledar, Bogoyavlenka, Vodyanyi and Katerynivka. In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 14 times in the areas of Grekivka, Makiivka, Nevsky, Zarichny, Torsky, and Novosadovo,” the summary states.

On September 26, the co-founder of Deep State, Ruslan Mykula, an analyst on Radio Svoboda (Svoboda.Ranok project), reported that the loss of the city of Vugledar, where the Ukrainian military held off the advance of the Russian Federation for more than two years, is a matter of days, maybe weeks.

The co-founder of Deep State calls the threat of encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Ugledar high, but there is still no command to leave the city. Military journalist Yuriy Butusov says that the decision to withdraw from Vugledar can be made directly by commanders when it becomes clear that it is no longer possible to conduct a defense.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not report the semi-surrounding of the 72nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Vugledar. Commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 72nd OMBr Andriy Nazarenko said on September 24 that the brigade is still holding positions in Vugledar.
