Stuntman Steve Kramer made calls to New Hampshire residents using artificial intelligence-assisted voice cloning and caller ID spoofing.
Speaking in the voice of US President Joe Biden, the man urged Americans not to participate in the presidential elections in the state.
The FCC first announced the fine against Cramer in May, but the agency said he never responded. Kramer must pay the fine within 30 days or it will be turned over to the US Department of Justice for enforcement.
In addition, Lingo Telecom, the carrier that facilitated Cramer’s calls, was also fined $1 million by the FCC.
