Arsenal are actively working to attract Napoli chief scout Maurizio Micheli to their squad. According to information Football Italythe Premier League club are planning to offer the 57-year-old Italian a leadership role in their recruitment department. Negotiations are at an advanced stage.

Micheli is credited with discovering such talents as Marek Hamsik, Kim Min-jae and Hvica Kvaratshelija. He previously worked as a scout at Udinese and sporting director at Brescia. Micheli first joined the scouting network of Napoli in 2010, working there for five years, after which he tested himself in Verona and Bologna, before returning to the Neapolitans in 2018.

This is not the first time Micheli has been linked with a move away. In 2024, Juventus made him an offer, but then he stayed at Napoli.
