As part of the 11th round of the Ukrainian Premier League 2025/26, Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas will host UPL newcomer SC Poltava.

The second game day of the 11th UPL round will open a match between one of the leaders and the main outsider of the championship.

Before the tenth round, Kryvbas was in first place in the UPL and had a four-match unbeaten streak, but in the match against Dynamo Kyiv, under the leadership of Patrik van Leeuwen, they suffered the biggest defeat with a score of 0:4. This loss pushed the Kryvyi Rih team down to the fifth place in the standings. However, the density in the top-5 of the Ukrainian championship is such that it can turn everything upside down in one round. Kryvbas lags behind the leading Shakhtar by only two points, and the “miners” have to play against Dynamo on Sunday, which in mid-season showed the ability to beat the Turan team.

The team of the Dutch specialist acts qualitatively in attack, scoring a total of 18 goals in the UPL at the moment – more than only Shakhtar (19) and Dynamo (27). However, the terrible actions in the defense in some places neutralize the strong game in the attack of Kryvbas. 18 missed goals after 10 played rounds — the worst indicator among the first eight teams of the championship of Ukraine.

As for SC Poltava. Pavel Matviichenko’s team still looks the weakest in the Ukrainian Premier League. Both by the game and by the results. Only one victory in ten starting matches, which the Poltava players won at the beginning of August in the second round against Veres from Rivne (1:0). 21 missed balls (the worst indicator in the entire league) definitely does not add optimism to the fans of the newcomer of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Undoubtedly, we should note the game of Poltava in the last round against Kolos Kolos. Matviichenko’s wards twice led against Kostyshyn’s team, but still managed to score only one point. Quite a sensational result, but considering the circumstances of the match, the Poltava residents were rather dissatisfied with the outcome of the game.

Kryvbas scores a lot, in turn, SK Poltava concedes a lot. Therefore, we will not be surprised if we see a lot of goals scored in this duel… in the goal of Valery Voskonyan. However, the game against Kolos should give Poltava fans hope.
