After the end of the game, the head coach of “Wolves” Imad Ashur commented on the performance of his own team.

“Considering the fact that in the first half we conceded this goal – a misunderstanding – the result is natural, because they scored one and we also scored one.

I guess, but I can’t say for sure now, but it seems that there were enough episodes in the second half when we could have played more focused and achieved a more positive result.

In general, in the second half, in my opinion, the game was more complete. We knew that the game would be difficult and would require us to go into every duel and not lose it. The theory is not always justified in practice, because, as you can see, one episode is enough for us to start over.

Globally, I have only one comment: episodes like these, which were created in the second half, should be created throughout the game. For this, we need to take more responsibility on ourselves, we need to sharpen more, finding ourselves in a space where we can sharpen and not postpone it for those moments when we have nowhere else to go.

We continue to try hard to make sure that without aggravation there will be no chances, and without chances there will be no goals. It is good that we find in ourselves the ability to turn the match against such a powerful opponent.

We must give credit to the fact that the Carpathians are a strong team. We will perceive this as a result with a salty taste.

This first half is identical to the first half against Veres, but only in terms of the result. In my opinion, the content was a little different. Still, the first half was quite difficult with Veres, and today we lacked aggravation when we approached the opponent’s goal.

Such situations can happen, because today what affected the result of the first half? One specific episode, but this episode did not happen in the penalty area and not close to it, this episode happened far enough from our goal. We had time to talk about it during the break.

The moments when we lose the ball in a flat position, allowing the opponent to turn the attack quickly, the moments when we move away from the opponent and let him pass, although we have to keep him under pressure, we have to reduce to zero. Then there will be no possibility that the opponent will score, but this is not possible, we understand it ourselves.

We said that in the second half we need to do more aggravation and this can lead to the fact that we can influence the outcome of the game. The game was definitely affected, but the result might not have been affected – who knows. They scored – it’s very good, but they could have scored more.

Once again, we found the reserve to change the game. Even in the last minutes of the last matches, we did not always have enough internal reserve and functionality, but today we had everything, except for the second ball in the goal net.

I have repeatedly said that development, learning, progress cannot be linear. We want to take and draw a graph where everything will go up. It won’t be like that. It is retro-progressive, that is, we take steps forward, then at some point we have to experience stagnation, and sometimes regression. It is desirable that there should be a minimum of regression, but the processes of stagnation that will occur are the most important point and should be given more attention.

At such moments, we will then be able to understand whether we are moving in the direction we want. Today, if we take the result, we did not win, but if we look at it from the point of view of the game, we have more and more segments where we can dominate, where we can create, where we take responsibility.

We would really like to do it regardless of the result, regardless of the minute of the match, etc. Again, we knew in our heads that we couldn’t draw incredible fantasies. From game to game we will also lose points, today you can say we lost something, on the other hand we showed character while remaining unbeaten, so that’s not bad either.

Everything has its time, as they say, but we will do everything to delay it or to prevent it from happening at all. But it’s a game, you understand,” said the Ukrainian specialist.
