Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has commented on the transfer of former Bologna defender Ricardo Calafiori to Arsenal.
“His departure is regretted by the whole of Italian football, not just Juventus. We have to ask ourselves why we didn’t have the strength to keep a player of this level in Italy. All the big teams took a defender, but not him,” Giuntoli said in an interview. Corriere Della Sera.
The transfer of the 22-year-old defender cost the London club 42 million euros. The contract with the player runs until June 30, 2029.
