More than a third of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have carried out 64 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Novopavlivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Kotlyarivka, Gorikhove and Dachne settlements. Restraining the enemy onslaught, the Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 41 attacks, the fighting continues,” the message reads.
Russian forces also actively attacked in the direction of Konstantinov.
“In the direction of Kostyantynivka, the Russian occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders 31 times near Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyny Yar and in the direction of Kostyantynivka and Poltavka. Ukrainian units repulsed 28 attacks, three more enemy attacks are still ongoing,” the day’s summary stated.
Battles continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivsk, Gulyaipilsk and Orihiv directions.
On November 12, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Pokrovsky direction remains the main one in the context of the Russian offensive. The largest number of daily Russian assaults and the concentration of a significant part of the Russian group operating on the territory of Ukraine are recorded there. In particular, the Russian army is trying to take advantage of difficult weather conditions.
In recent days, Russian troops intensified their efforts to enter Pokrovsk in Donetsk region using light vehicles through the southern outskirts, the press service of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on November 11.
Meanwhile, as reported by the Defense Forces of the South, the Ukrainian military withdrew from their positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
