“I think we have a common view that the war in Ukraine must be stopped, and Putin cannot win. Ukraine must win. And I want to discuss with you the details of the ‘victory plan,'” said the president of Ukraine.
Zelensky said that only the Americans decide who will be the next president of the United States, but it is important to discuss joint steps after November, when the elections will be held. “That’s why I decided to meet with both candidates,” he said.

Before the meeting with Zelensky, Trump reacted indirectly criticism of his rival Kamala Harris his proposals regarding Ukraine.
The day before, at a briefing with Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington, Kamala Harris named the policy of Donald Trump’s campaign to end the war with Russia “surrender offer”.
Trump dismissed Harris’ criticism and insisted he only wanted to stop the “horror show that’s going on.”
