Details: The OGP recalled that Artem Dmytrouk is suspected of committing attacks by a group of persons on a law enforcement officer and a military officer, attempting to steal a firearm, causing the victim moderate injuries and hooliganism.

We will remind:

  • On August 25, it became known that non-factional People’s Deputy Artem Dmytruk, who defended the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, illegally left the country.
  • On August 25, the Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin informed about the suspicion of this current People’s Deputy of Ukraine for participating in attacks on citizens, including a law enforcement officer, attempted theft of firearms, etc.
  • Dmytruk himself stated before leaving that he was “threatened and persecuted because of his beliefs.” On August 29, Artem Dmytruk, a suspect in the attacks on a soldier and a law enforcement officer, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, was declared wanted.
  • On September 2, the law enforcement officers informed about the suspicion of three persons who illegally transported the suspect of attacks on citizens of people’s deputy Artem Dmytruk across the state border to Transnistria.
  • Dmytruk, a wanted fugitive member of parliament, gave an interview to the British publication The Independent, in which he stated that he had to appear before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London to contest the extradition request from the Ukrainian government.
