This is written in the draft Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025”.
According to the document, most of the total amount will be allocated for the preparation and participation of national teams in international and state contracts – 3.7 billion Other expenses include:
- 1.3 billion for the participation of Ukrainian athletes in the Olympic, Paralympic, De-Olympic Games, Olympic festivals and Youth Olympic Games;
- 412 million for the development of Olympic, Paralympic, physical culture and sports, school and student sports movements;
- 86 million to create conditions for the training process of Ukrainian athletes;
- 156 million for the social project “Active parks – locations of healthy Ukraine” to restore the nation’s mental health.
For comparison, in the state budget for 2024, 7.5 billion expenses in the field of sports were prescribed, of which almost 2 billion went to the training of Ukrainian athletes in the Olympic cycle competitions.
