Details: The US on Wednesday announced sanctions against 32 individuals and legal entities that help Iran develop missiles and drones.
The sanctions include companies from Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, India, Germany and Ukraine, “which operate numerous procurement networks that support the production of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in Iran,” the report said.
One of the exposed networks, among other things, coordinated Iran’s purchase of ballistic missile components from China starting in 2023.
Another network helped an Iranian state company with the procurement of components for UAVs, using shell companies in Ukraine – GK Imperativ Ukraine LLC and Ecofera LLC, according to the US Treasury Department.
“Around the world, Iran uses financial systems to launder money, procure components for its nuclear and conventional weapons, and support its terrorist proxies,” commented US Deputy Treasury Secretary John Hurley.
The US is consistently introducing sanctions against Iran aimed at blocking his income from the sale of oil and obtaining components for the development of the military program.
