Details: As noted in the message, prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office together with the SBU and with the assistance of the management of JSC “NAEK Energoatom” exposed a 48-year-old official of the company for receiving 100,000 hryvnias of illegal benefits.
Literally: “According to the investigation, a representative of a private company approached him with a request for help in receiving payment from one of the mining and beneficiation plants, which is part of JSC “Energoatom”, according to the contract concluded back in December 2022.
The official promised to solve this issue with the management of the plant for 100 thousand hryvnias. In case of non-payment of money, he stated that he would help ensure that the concluded contract was not paid in any case. So the entrepreneur was forced to agree to these conditions.
Law enforcement officers detained an employee of JSC “Energoatom” while receiving money in accordance with Art. 208 of the CCP of Ukraine”.
Details: The official was informed of the suspicion of obtaining an illegal benefit for himself for influencing the decision-making by a person authorized to perform state functions, combined with the demand for such a benefit (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was remanded in custody in the form of bail in the amount of 1 million hryvnias.
The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation and operative support are carried out by the employees of the State Security Service of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

“Energoatom” stated that Skopych was detained with the active participation of the company’s representatives, and it will continue to assist the investigators.
