Details: The special forces released the 43-minute film “The Way to Krynyk” – the story of the work of the soldiers of one of the units of the SSO, who cleared the passage for the marines to the left bank of the Dnieper through the islands and floats.
The details of the large-scale and lengthy operation, told by the unit’s operators, are full of human emotions and memories.
Special forces crossed to the left bank, conducted reconnaissance, demined territories, hunted the enemy, took prisoners.
As it is told in the film, from one of the prisoners, SSO fighters were able to clarify the sketch of the front edge of the enemy’s defense, its system of observation posts, and the communication system.
The special forces even entered the enemy’s rear, destroyed the means of communication, cut off the logistical supply routes, and destroyed a dozen enemy boats.
Since, by the nature of their work, special forces do not have the strength and means to seize or hold enemy territory, the fighters used hit-and-run tactics.
According to the UP, such work of the SSO continued for several months in 2023.
Prehistory:
- In October 2023, Ukrainian troops established themselves in Krynyky on the left bank of the Kherson region. Since then, the occupying forces have been trying to drive Ukrainian forces out of there almost every day, which was regularly mentioned in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- In July 2024, the Ukrainian military withdrew from Krynyk. This settlement was practically wiped off the face of the earth by the Russian invaders.
- On July 17, Slidstvo.info reported that, according to the police, 788 Ukrainian soldiers went missing during a defense operation in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region from October 2023 to the end of June 2024. The number of dead soldiers who managed to be removed from there and finally buried is much smaller – 262 defenders during this period.
- On July 26, the spokesman of the operational group of troops “Tavria” Dmytro Lykhovii reported that the Defense Forces continue combat missions on the Left Bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, in particular, near the village of Krynka, and on the islands in the area.
