The oldest publishing house of Ukraine ceases its existence The publishing house “Naukova dumka” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine announced its liquidation and bankruptcy. “Naukova dumka” publishing house is ceasing its activity by the decision of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This is reported by the Chitomo publication with reference to the publishing house, reports UNN.

According to Viktoria Ageyeva, head of the department of distribution of book publications, such a decision was taken by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS).

“Naukova dumka publishing house, which is 102 years old, is being liquidated. No one will be able to buy books from us anymore.”

According to Opendatabot, the bankruptcy procedure for the institution was started on October 5, 2024.

The employees were informed about the dismissal 2 months before the termination of the enterprise.

The bookstore on the street is also closing. Tereshchenkovska and the publishing house’s online store. December 2, 2024 will be the last day of operation of the “Naukova dumka” bookstore. The publishing house announced this on its official website.
