“Postponements issued by the Ministry of Economy and through the Diya portal will expire on February 28, 2025”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
It is noted that the deferrals granted by the decisions of the Ministry of Economy or granted by means of the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (“Action”) are valid during the period for which they are granted, but no later than February 28, 2025.
According to the text of the resolution, cancellation of the specified postponements is carried out in the event of:
- expiration of their validity;
- completion of the enterprise’s production of goods, performance of works and services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces;
- depriving the enterprise of the status of critical importance;
- liquidation of a body of state power, local self-government, enterprise, institution and organization;
- dismissal of a conscript from a state body, enterprise, institution and organization (except for dismissal from a position with subsequent appointment to another position within the same enterprise);
- temporary termination of the employment contract of a conscript with an enterprise, institution, organization;
- failure by the mine action operator to carry out demining operations within six months based on the information provided by the Mine Action Center.
Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers updated the reservation criteria and the criteria for obtaining criticality. The government hopes this will reduce the risk of abuse when companies employ a person for a “shadow” booking arrangement.
The new procedure will be effective from December 1. But, as reported by the government, there will be a transition period to the new conditions until February 28 for all those who already have deferrals. By this date – February 28 – all enterprises must renew the reservation of their employees, according to the new conditions, regardless of how and when the reservation was made.
In September, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing changes to the approach of reservation from mobilization based on the “Fight or Work” principle.
“It cannot be that someone paid off the protection of the homeland. This is the key principle, this is the red line,” Shmyhal emphasized.
Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havrylyuk reported in mid-August that the number of conscripts in Ukraine is about 930,000.
