The government allocated UAH 56.9 million for the construction of shelters for schools in three regions

The Cabinet of Ministers allocated more than 42 million hryvnias for the construction of shelters in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, and will also allocate another 14.7 million hryvnias for the continuation of the construction of an anti-radiation shelter in the Vyshgorod Lyceum in the Kyiv region. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting, reports UNN.

“We are also distributing a state subvention in the amount of 56.9 million hryvnias for shelter for schools in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kyiv regions,” Shmyhal said.

The Ministry of Education and Science noted that the budget of the Zaporizhzhia region will receive 16 million 883 thousand hryvnias for the construction of an anti-radiation shelter in the educational institution of the Lucerne Lyceum of the Mykhailo village council.

27 million 882 thousand hryvnias will be allocated for the construction of a bomb shelter in the Visokopil Lyceum in the Kherson Region.

Another 14,795,000 hryvnias will be allocated for the continuation of the construction of an anti-radiation shelter, which began last year on the territory of the Vyshgorod Lyceum No. 1 in the Kyiv region.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure and conditions for receiving financial aid from UNICEF by institutions of general secondary education for the 2024/25 academic year. 350 institutions will receive 290.5 thousand hryvnias each from UNICEF for the modernization of food blocks, for preparation for winter, for repairs of engineering networks.
