During a working visit to Sweden, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov held talks with the Minister of Defense of Sweden Paul Jonson, during which an agreement was reached that Sweden would finance the production of Ukrainian long-range drones based on the “Danish model”.

Details: During the negotiations, the ministers agreed that Sweden would finance the production of Ukrainian drones by purchasing products for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
“This is another step towards strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, which demonstrates the trust of our partners in our military-industrial potential,” Umyerov said.
In addition, the parties discussed plans for financing aid to Ukraine for 2025. A separate focus was made on equipping units of the Ukrainian army with military equipment. According to Umerov, negotiations regarding this component of cooperation are at the final stage.
In addition, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine held talks with representatives of Swedish defense companies. The participants discussed the implementation of new projects in the field of production of military equipment, artillery, optics, guidance systems, communication and air defense means.
