The Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk confirmed that the parliament is discussing the initiative to allow men aged 18 to 25 years to go abroad.

“The Ukrainian Parliament is 398 as of now, with the right of legislative initiative. There are many initiatives in parliament. I know that this topic is said, including on a special committee … I know that there are such ideas. According to him, men aged 18-25 are not mobilized, but are not able to exercise a number of their rights.

“Therefore, we need to find a mechanism in order to enable them to be realized in all these rights. What mechanism will be found – I will wait from the committee. Individual members of the Committees are working on liberalization, ”the speaker added.

At the end of May, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the Servant of the People, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedor Venislavsky stated that in parliament they were working to raise up to 23-24 years to travel young men abroad.

After the beginning of the Russian full -scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, martial law was introduced and general mobilization was announced. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from traveling abroad.
