As you know, the event happened on October 30 in the Solomyan district of Kyiv at the Ukrposhta sorting center. Then, during the inspection of the parcel, an explosion occurred, as a result of which five citizens were injured: employees of the post office and specialists of the customs service.
Then, in the course of the pre-trial investigation, the police found out that a 40-year-old resident of the city of Ternopil purchased ammunition through an advertisement on an Internet resource for the subsequent manufacture of souvenirs from them.
Having made engravings on them, he sent them through the mail. Therefore, the explosive package with the projectile detonated in the sorting center during the inspection. The man was detained and he was charged with suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
