The Polish Senate did not make its amendments to the document approved by the Seimas last week, so it is considered finally approved by Parliament and would expect the Signature of President Navrotsky.

Among other things, the law prolongs the legality of staying in Poland of Ukrainian citizens who escaped from the war until March 4, 2026.

It enhances control over the receipt of social support by foreigners, including 800+ program. The right to her will be related to the professional activity and teaching of children at the Polish school. The exception, for example, is parents of children with disabilities.

The law also imposes restrictions on the possibility of using medical services by adults of Ukraine. It is, in particular, about medical and medical programs, therapeutic rehabilitation and dental treatment.

In the end, the law provides for the continuation of the legal status of Ukrainians in Poland until March 4, 2026 – the validity of the relevant EU Council Decision.

Recall: The current rules provide Ukrainians in Poland by the end of September 2025. After this period, they are threatened, among other things, problems with legal employment.

On the previous law on assistance to Ukrainians, the President of Poland vetoed, referring to the allegedly unfairly large amount of social assistance paid to Ukrainian refugees.
