Details: In particular, two versions of the resolution on the refusal to open a criminal case, signed by Major of Justice Oleksandr Varapayev, were at the disposal of the publication. In an earlier version, Navalny’s symptoms are described as follows:
“On 16.02.2024, during his stay in the promenade yard No. 2 of the ЕПКТ, convict O.O. Navalnyi felt a sharp deterioration in his health, which he informed the on-duty employee of the institution, who took the latter from the premises of the promenade yard to the premises of section № 4 of the ЕПКТ.
Next, the convicted Navalnyi O.O. he laid down on the floor, after which he began to complain of sharp pain in the abdomen, he began to reflexively erupt stomach contents, convulsions appeared, and he fainted, which was immediately reported to the medical staff of the correctional institution.”
In the later version of the same resolution (which became final), all the words about abdominal pain, vomiting and convulsions were no longer there. But the publication has another document at its disposal – a description of “removed objects”, which also includes “samples of vomitus”, and they were given for examination, although neither the examination nor the vomit was officially reported.
“The documents confirm the words of Yulia Navalny, who previously stated that “in the last minutes before his death, he complained of a sharp pain in his stomach,” writes The Insider.
The publication cites the opinion of intensivist Oleksandr Polupan, who treated Navalny in the Omsk hospital after poisoning with “Novachka” in 2020, he says that the symptoms indicated in the documents do not match the official version in any way.
“The official cause of death – irregular heart rhythm – would not explain the symptoms we see in the decision: sharp abdominal pain, vomiting and convulsions. It is unlikely that such symptoms can be explained by anything other than poisoning. A short period of time between abdominal pain and convulsions testifies in favor of the fact that it could be, for example, an organophosphorus substance (Novachok also belongs to the same class of substances, but only not when used topically, but when used internally),” the doctor points out.
Other doctors of various specialties interviewed by The Insider agree with Polupan’s conclusions.
Also, the publication writes, other facts testify in favor of the use of a poisonous substance: the authorities did not hand over the body for a long time and did not allow an alternative examination of biomaterials to be carried out. However, only now the fact of poisoning has been documented.
