In Romania, the Senate approved a law on beating drones in the country

The Senate (Upper House of Parliament) of Romania has approved two draft laws that allow you to knock down the drones and peaceful conduct of military missions and operations in the Romanian state. Voting is decisive.

According to the Romanian Radio Liberty Service, the bill on control over the use of national airspace was approved by 78 votes “for”, 11 was “against” and 2 abstained.

The bill on the peaceful conduct of military missions and operations in the territory of the Romanian state was voted by 80 votes for “for”, 12 “against” and 2 abstained.

“We strengthen Romania’s defense! (…) The first law regulates the confusion of unauthorized drones that violate Romania’s airspace. The second law allows more effective cooperation of the Romanian army with NATO partners in the national territory, in military missions and operations in peacetime, ” – wrote a temporarily acting chairman of the Senate Mircha Abrudyan on Facebook.

Romania is a NATO member bordering Ukraine. The fall of drone fragments was recorded on its territory, especially after Russia has increased attacks on Ukrainian ports.

According to the calculations of the Publication, during the full -scale war in Ukraine (as of September 2024), fragments of missiles and drones were found more than 30 times in the territory of neighboring countries, such as Romania, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Croatia and Belarus.
