Details: Two persons involved in the criminal scheme were detained – the head of the military equipment, weapons and logistics service of the battalion and a soldier of the material support battalion of one of the Bukovyna military units, which is currently stationed in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to the investigation, since May 2025, the military organized the illegal sale of diesel fuel in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Chernivtsi regions.
Fuel was sold to private entrepreneurs, mainly in the field of freight transportation, including special colored diesel fuel, which was to be used exclusively by military units at the front.
On November 5, 2025, DBR employees detained one of the soldiers during another “dump” of 20 tons of diesel to an entrepreneur from the Kyiv region.
Another participant in the scheme – a battalion official – was detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
During searches of the temporary deployment point of the military unit, more than 30 tons of diesel fuel, which was already being prepared for sale, as well as draft accounting and other documents were seized.
According to the records, in total, the military illegally sold 718 tons of fuel, making a profit of about UAH 28 million, the SBI notes.
Both detainees were notified of the suspicion of theft, appropriation of military property, committed using their official position under martial law (Part 4 of Article 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
photo of the DBR At the request of the prosecutors, the court has already arrested them with the right to deposit bail – for a soldier – 1.5 million UAH, for an official of a military unit – 1 million 960 thousand UAH. According to the UP, so far the suspects have not posted bail.
The involvement of other military personnel in the commission of the specified crime is being checked.
