British SafeLane Global Limited will help Ukraine in demining reserves

This was reported in Telegram by the Ministry of Environment, Ukrinform reports.

“During the meeting, it was agreed that the Ministry of Environment will provide a list of parks and territories available for inspection as a priority. The company will conduct a non-technical survey, draw up a demining plan for each park, and also help with attracting donor funding for the implementation of works in accordance with international mine action standards and national regulatory acts of Ukraine and cleaning the territories from chemical contamination,” the message says.

According to Vlasenko, 23 national parks and nature reserves are currently contaminated with explosive objects.

The company cooperates with the UN, governments of various countries, as well as with commercial enterprises.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine needs to train more than 10,000 new demining specialists. Currently, 65 companies — operators of mine action activities — are engaged in clearing territories from the consequences of war. Another 50 companies submitted documents for certification.
