“Black Friday: how to return or exchange a product if it is of poor quality Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets clarified the rights of consumers regarding the return and exchange of goods purchased during Black Friday. Buyers have the right to exchange non-food products within 14 days, provided they remain in their original condition.”, — write on: unn.ua
Lubinets reminds that, first of all, it is worth paying attention to what the law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” says. According to the law, consumers have the right to:
- exchange a non-food product of appropriate quality for a similar one from the seller from whom it was purchased;
- return is possible within 14 days (not counting the purchase), if the product has not been used and its appearance, consumer properties, seals, labels have been preserved.
- always keep the receipt! If you bought the product in an online store, then an electronic settlement document is issued.
However, here it is worth bearing in mind that there is an approved list of goods that are not subject to exchange or return. These are, for example, medicinal preparations and means, items of blood hygiene.
In the event that the seller refuses to return or exchange the product, Lubinets recommends contacting the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection
