Details
In order to preserve and protect crayfish during their mating, spawning and first molting period, a ban on catching crayfish will begin on December 1, 2024 in many reservoirs of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that on the Danube River and the Danube lakes, the ban will come into effect from December 5, and on the Kyiv, Kaniv, Kremenchutsk, Kamian and Dnipro reservoirs – from the 15th.
But in Transcarpathia, where there are dominant groups of river crayfish formed by red book broad-clawed crayfish, the fishing ban will be in effect throughout the year.
