18-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Veronika Podrez (WTA 301) will play in the second round of the WTA 125 tournament in Angers (France) against Antonia Ružić (Croatia, WTA 78).
Ružych, who is seeded at number two, advanced to the 1/8 finals of the competition thanks to a convincing victory over Alyona Bolshova (Spain, WTA 235) with a score of 6:4, 6:2 in 1 hour and 18 minutes.
The meeting between Podrez and Ružych will take place on December 3. The schedule for Wednesday in Angers will appear on the 2nd. Veronica had never played against Antonia before.
Podreza won two matches in Angers – in the only qualifying match she defeated Amandine Monnot, and in the round of 16 she defeated Alina Charaeva.
