“The World Anti-Doping Agency wants justice”, — write: sport.ua
The World Anti-Doping Agency announced that it has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the violation of anti-doping rules by Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner.
“WADA believes that the finding of ‘no fault or inadvertence’ was not correct under the applicable rules. WADA requires a suspension of one to two years. WADA does not require the annulment of any results, except for those decisions that have already been made by the first-instance tribunal,” the World Anti-Doping Agency said in a release.
As you know, Sinner passed two positive doping tests in March of this year, but as a result was found innocent by an independent tribunal of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
