Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz became the winner of the French Open Championship, defeating German Alexander Zverev in five sets in the final.

Taking the title on the Paris courts, the 21-year-old Spaniard famously became the youngest player to win a major trophy on all three surfaces: hard (US Open 2022), grass (Wimbledon 2023) and clay (Roland Garros 2024).

“These are different tournaments with different atmospheres, but the feelings are the same. Winning a Grand Slam is always special. Winning your first title at a particular major is always something unique.

But to win Roland Garros, knowing that many Spaniards have won here, is something incredible. I dreamed of doing this since I started playing tennis at the age of 5-6,” admitted Carlos Alcaraz after winning the final in Paris.
