““Blue-yellow” lost to France with a score of 0:4 in the qualification match of the 2026 World Cup”, — write: sport.ua
After the match, the head coach of the “blue and yellow” Sergey Rebrov named the reasons for the unconvincing game and the painful defeat:
“I think there are two key points why we lost. The first is a penalty against France. As far as I could see, the opponent went with an open foot and, as far as I’m concerned, it’s a penalty. But the judge decided so. Then a penalty in our goal. These two points became key.
But I don’t think that France… Yes, in the second half they created a lot of moments when the fatigue affected our players. In the first half, we played very disciplined and did not allow to create almost anything.
Unfortunately, we lost 0:4, but we have time and opportunity to fix it on Sunday,” Rebrov said.
