The Ministry of Defense talked about US aid / photo mil.gov.uaThe United States has provided Ukraine with a new package of military aid worth $375 million, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov announced on social media.He noted that this package includes artillery shells, ammunition for HIMARS, air-to-surface missiles, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
“I thank our American partners for their leadership and unwavering support in the fight against the Russian invaders,” Umyerov wrote.
It will be recalled that recently it became known that Washington announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 375 million. This aid package is almost twice the volume of the last deliveries. The allocation of new weapons for Ukraine was confirmed in the Pentagon. This is already the 66th tranche of equipment that the Biden Administration provides to Ukraine from the Pentagon warehouses, starting in August 2021.
US aid to UkraineThe administration of President Joe Biden is conducting urgent negotiations with Congress to be able to use $5.6 billion in military aid to Ukraine by September 30.
It was also about aid in the amount of $2.4 billion within the framework of the “Initiative to promote the security of Ukraine” program. This program allows the US administration to buy weapons for Ukraine from companies, rather than removing them from the US arms stockpile.
