“Let’s continue our military support for Ukraine”: Scholz after the conversation with Zelenskyi

“I agreed with Volodymyr Zelenskyi that we will remain in contact – also with the prospect of possible ways to a just peace” – Chancellor of Germany”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

Germany will continue military support to Ukraine in close coordination with European and international partners, Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote on the X network following a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on November 29.

“We will continue our military support to Ukraine in close coordination with our European and international partners. I agreed with Volodymyr Zelenskyi that we will remain in contact – also with the prospect of possible ways to a just peace,” the post states.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and thanked him for his leadership in helping Ukraine with air defense systems. In addition, it is known that Scholz told Zelensky the details of his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“It is obvious that only the force of arms and the power of diplomacy together can force the perpetrator of the war to peace, and that peace is possible only through force,” the President of Ukraine noted.

Olaf Scholz refuses to send the long-range German Taurus missile system to Ukraine, fearing the escalation of NATO’s confrontation with Russia.

In Germany, Scholz’s refusal to provide Kyiv with Taurus missiles is controversial even in his own tripartite coalition with the Greens and the liberal Free Democrats (FDP).
