Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko informed about the decision.
“An extraordinary meeting of the Government was held this morning. It was decided to remove Herman Galushchenko from the duties of Minister of Justice,” she wrote in Telegram. According to her, by the decision of the government, the performance of the minister’s duties was entrusted to the Deputy Minister of Justice for European Integration Lyudmila Suhak.
NABU films – what is Galushchenko’s roleAs UNIAN reported, on November 11, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) released new audio recordings of conversations of participants in a large-scale embezzlement scheme at JSC “Energoatom”, among which probably the former Minister of Energy and the current Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko.
Oleksandr Abakumov, head of the main unit of NABU detectives, said that, according to the investigation, he managed the criminal organization “Carlson” (according to people’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, Timur Mindich is a businessman designated by this nickname), which controlled the work of the so-called “laundry room” where criminally obtained funds were laundered.
On the records, there is a person identified by the detectives as the then Minister of Energy, Galushchenko, talking with, according to the investigation, the head of the “laundry”, talking about the sums that must be paid for the construction of a certain object, that is, talking about “kickbacks”.
On November 10, NABU and SAP launched a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector and, in particular, law enforcement officers searched Energoatom and Justice Minister Galushchenko.
