The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the unwillingness of the Russian Federation, which continues the invading war against Ukraine, to discuss the return of the occupied territories to Ukraine. According to UNIAN correspondent, the Foreign Ministry spokesman George Tykhy said at a briefing.
In particular, the spokesman commented on the statement of the Russian Federation that the occupied regions of Ukraine were allegedly recorded in the Constitution of Russia and are not subject to being a topic of negotiations.
In this connection, the quiet recalled that 143 UN member states in the fall of 2022 supported the resolution “Territorial integrity of Ukraine: protection of the principles of the UN Charter” and confirmed that no Russian claims in the Ukrainian territories are legitimate. These claims are not valid.
“So, Russia cannot make any territorial claims to Ukraine. Ukraine has internationally recognized borders that have not changed, despite any Russian attempts,” the quiet.
